Introduction

A powerful, five-day residential course that guides you through a step-by-step approach to impart training in ‘The Significant Self’. Besides training participants to conduct this specific workshop, this program provides you with the overall training required to handle other workshops, lead groups, and manage a heterogeneous mixture of people.

Additional benefits to people in HR, business, network marketing, sales, would include expansion of existing skills and deepening vision through connecting with the inner self and integrating your authenticity.

The program is divided into 2 phases.

In phase I you are guided through an experiential program on self-esteem to re-connect with your inner self.

Here you are made aware of your sense of ‘self’ – who and what you are, the strength of your identity, and conditioning that most often holds people back and gives you the space to unleash your true potential.

Going through the program yourself changes how you estimate yourself, enhancing your self-esteem. It dispels the uncertainty and “I can’t” conditioning that may hold you back and unleashes your inner strength.

In phase II you will be given training in leading your own workshop personally. A practical assessment of training skills will be followed through, with identifying and clearing blocks, fears and resistance faced in the process of facilitation.

The training focuses on building your ability to present ideas, be spontaneous, keep an experiential program alive, handle questions, stay centered, create trust, use intuition and facilitate breakthrough moments for participants.

Promotion and costing will be covered towards the end of the program.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Q: Tell me about Sampoorna/ the facilitator/ her qualifications.

A: She is a research scholar and a psychologist, in the field for 27 years, and for the last 15 years, has been involved in areas of self-esteem and personal growth.

She has developed TTT modules for the police, corporates, NGOs and schools. She has trained therapists and facilitators in diverse areas.

Q: I have that! - I am a trainer with a lot of experience and training. I’ve done a lot of programs. What will I get from this one? What is different about this program.

A:

  • Being aware of group energy
  • Knowing when to introduce an idea
  • Share from a position of equality, neither superior, nor inadequate. Feeling relatable. Having honest expression.
  • Create an atmosphere of safety and trust so participants can go as deep as they can.

Q: What kind of results can I expect?

A: Phase I – To enhance your own self-esteem. To get to know, understand and accept yourself as you are.

Phase II – To be yourself. When you are open and vulnerable and being yourself, your authenticity will allow the group to journey to a deeper level.

The TTT, will help to strengthen your identity, so you can go through the defensive layers you have built up and thereby access deeper parts of yourself.

Q: I am a lay person/I don’t have a lot of experience in workshops/I am new to this field/I don’t feel confident about my abilities. Can this workshop actually help me run my own programs? And in such a short time?

A: The workshop is designed to give you the confidence to carry on the work on your own with a detailed manual. However, a personal interview will provide an indication of whether this program would be right for you at this point of time.

Q: I’m really intrigued by the program, I don’t want to conduct workshops, but can I also attend phase II/am I eligible for phase II?

A: Eligibility for Phase II will be based on a personal interview. However, Phase I is open to all.

Q: I’m stuck/I’m stalled/ as a trainer, I still want to help others but I’m burnt out.

A: The training will bring you centering methods to keep your balance. It also teaches early identification of stressors.

Q: I’m sick of the standard programs/The standard programs hold no interest for me anymore/I want far more effective results.

A: The philosophy/belief of a facilitator is the most crucial element of a program. The depth of a program or any training comes from the essence of the person teaching. The program is only as good as the facilitator. This program is unique, powerful, deep and transforming.

Q: What happens if someone starts crying/breaking down? What if I can’t handle the situation? How will I be able to help the person and not damage them?

A: People come together in experiential programs to work as a group and participate in each others’ healing. You will learn how to let go and respect the other person enough to allow their unconscious to connect with and guide your unconscious in such a situation. Once you access the power of the unconscious, it will allow only the best to happen.

Q: Issue/Concern: Handling questions – questions unnerve me, I feel I have to prove myself with my answers and participants do not take the answers well.

A: How you feel about taking questions will determine where your answers are coming from and how they will be received. A respectful way is to deal with it in a manner that allows answers to surface from within the participant.

Q: What is your take on “trouble-makers?” How do we deal with someone who just wants attention or is trying to put me down?

A: There need be no trouble making. Once a person’s positive intention is uncovered, there is no clash in addressing their intention.

This eliminates the possibility of trouble-making. The discussion becomes straight forward and respectful and the entire interaction will evolve from a position of respect and equality.

Q: How do I make sure I win an argument with a participant?

A: You will learn how not to get into an argument with a participant.
When you keep your confidence, poise and self-respect, there will be no opportunity to get ‘hooked’ into meaningless discussions or mental ju-jitsu.

Q: What group size would be most suitable and how do we handle different group sizes?

A: Group sizes vary, one of the things taught will be how to supplement the group energy through your presence. Programs could start from three, going all the way to hundreds. Where an ideal size, for an experiential program, would be about 20 to 25 people representing all facets of the human personality, an actual group may be smaller. In that situation it is important for the facilitator to learn to supplement the group energy, by standing in for the missing facets with his/her own.

Q: I get very stressed about my programs. I ultimately do well but it takes a lot out of me.

A: Very often trainers build up a lot of stress before and during the workshop, because they want to do the best. Though the intention is positive, an excessive amount of stress takes away from being, reducing the presence of the facilitator.

The deeper you connect with yourself the more connected your program will be. Often facilitators focus on the external - on participants, on activities, on lectures, they are more focused on doing, doing it right and well. While that is very good, it takes away from 'being'. And the more one can be oneself, the more effortlessly the 'doing' will fall in place.
